Easy 4th of July Decor

By Glenys Vidal

"I love creating simple home decor items, especially around the holidays. For the 4th of July celebration, I wanted to create a festive tag for my desk and for this project I wanted to reuse scraps of papers that I still had from previous finished projects.

For my project, I used a regular size tag, ribbon, papers from two different collections and a few fussy cut pieces. Graphic 45 papers are perfect for this type of projects, you can use different paper collections and they will still match perfectly.

For the base of the tag, I used paper from the Communique collection and two squares from the Cityscapes collection. I then added foam tape to create layers on my tag and add dimension to it. The Lady of Liberty is an awesome image from the Communique collection.

Then using my scraps I created elements to decorate my tag: stars in different colors and ripped pieces of paper. I also used two stickers from a different paper collection that I had in my stash.

Hoping you like this quick project and wishing a Happy Independence Day to all of you!” ~Glenys
