Step-by-Step Instructions
- Emboss half of the card with a dot embossing folder.
- Score the card where the embossing dots end and trim off the excess edge.
- Cut a strip from the ‘Jolly Holidays’ pattern sheet. Glue this on the top of the card close to the fold.
- Create the composition of the ephemera and chipboard elements. Adhere with adhesive foam squares.
- Add a sticker embellishment from the sticker sheet.
- Adorn the rest of the card with some flat back pearls.
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Papercrafting!”

No Embossing Setup? Here Are Easy Alternatives!
1. Use textured cardstock.
Pre-textured or dotted cardstock gives a similar raised effect without any tools required.
2. Create faux-embossing with tone-on-tone paper layers.
Cut shapes (snowflakes, circles, holly leaves) from the same color cardstock and glue them down for a subtle dimensional look.
3. Use stencils to add texture.
Apply light ink blending or soft molding paste through a stencil for instant pattern and depth.
4. Try dry-brushing or splatter techniques.
A little white or metallic paint brushed lightly across the surface creates visual texture that mimics embossed interest.
5. Swap embossing for patterned paper.
Use a simple, non-busy background print—like soft snowflakes or tone-on-tone designs—to keep the card elegant and layered.
6. Score lines with a bone folder.
For a DIY emboss-style finish, score parallel lines or a grid pattern on cardstock to create a raised, professional texture.
