A Note Card and Gift Box Tutorial
By Sandi Nagel
“Hello G45rs!
You've created your masterpiece. You've used up just about everything from your favorite Graphic 45 paper collection. As you're cleaning up your craft desk and putting things away, you realize you're left with just one piece of paper.
It's just one piece. You can't make another mini album from it. Maybe you can make a card, but then you think of the rest of the paper that'll go to waste. And besides, you only have one sheet left. It's just not enough to do some layering. Do you file it under your never-to-be-used again stash? You then realize that this stash continues to grow and grow, and before you know it, it's taken over your craft room! What to do? What to do?
Don't despair my dear friends. I've got just the project for you!
This Note Cards Gift Box Tutorial uses the very last sheet from my Graphic 45 Floral Shoppe 8×8 Paper Pad, some die-cuts from my stash, embellishments using the Floral Shoppe Tags & Pockets, and some white card-stock.
Tip: I've gotten into the habit of taking some free time to die-cut embellishment pieces for later use. I often use leaves, flowers and swirls to adorn my mini albums, cards, and other projects. Therefore, I keep a number of these die-cut shapes in easy to store envelopes. By doing this, my crafting goes by quicker since I don't need to stop what I'm doing to die-cut my pieces.
Although you're down to just one sheet of paper, the cut-outs from your Graphic 45 Floral Shoppe Tags & Pockets, along with your Graphic 45 Die-cuts will add dimension to your cards nicely.
Tip: Use ribbons and laces from your stash to add interest and dimension to your cards.
Tip: Whenever possible, keep a small stash of lace and trim remnants from previous projects. You never know when that tiny piece of trim that you have left will come in handy.
