“If art is the bridge between what you see in your mind and what the world sees, then skill is how you build that bridge.”
-The Bridge-
By Larissa Fyodorovna
“I have created a project for the #G45OffThePage assignment. I used the Deluxe Collector’s Edition “Portrait of a Lady“ for it. In addition, I used an element from the “Time to Celebrate” collection.
In the video tutorial you can follow the steps from the idea to the finished work. If you want to reproduce it, there is a file with schemas that you can use. For example, you can print out the pages and use the drawings as templates to transfer the elements onto cardstock or design paper.
Have fun with it.

-Tips-
I have left several interesting ideas for you directly in the video.
Some things are optional and can be omitted or substituted by others. In this way, you always create very individual works of art that are special and unique!
In this project it has proved useful to use light transparent fabric and ribbons in peach colour. It gives a nice festive touch and goes incredibly well with the colour scheme of “Portrait of a Lady” and “Time to Celebrate“.
To give the flower engagements a little more three-dimensionality, I attached cardboard spacers here and there between the layers.
To give the river a water reflection effect, I added a layer of transparent plastic film.
I wanted to visualize the effect of water reflection. For this, I had the following idea – to attach transparent plastic film layer over the turquoise coloured surface of the river.” ~ Larissa
