Paper Doll Dresses

By Larissa Fyodorovna

“Hello everyone!

For this month I have created a fun project for you that could take many of you back to your childhood.

When I was a kid, I had cardboard dolls like this and paper dresses. I really liked playing with them. And this time, the Couture Deluxe collector’s edition has given me the inspiration to try my hand as a fashion designer.

Maybe you would like to try it out too. It’s definitely a lot of fun!

You can see the process in the video.

I hope you like it.

-Tips-

  • I recommend that before you cut the clothes out of the design paper, you first make a prototype out of sketch paper. This way you can try it on the doll and correct it.

  • The design papers in this collection, but also from many other Graphic 45 collections, are already so gorgeous. Some creations may already look finished before embellishment.

  • To add an individual touch, you can try embellishments – bows, flowers, sequins, lace, glitter, rhinestones, embossing, and much more.

  • For more dimension, more natural and vibrant, you can shade the cut edges in the appropriate shade a few shades darker.” ~Larissa
