Hip Hip Horray Pop-up Cards

Tutorial by Anna Sigga

“Hello crafty friends.

The Hip Hip Hooray collection is such a beautiful and soft one, and I just had to make these into cards.

Fun Fold Pop Up Cards with a Twist by Anna Sigga

I followed the directions in the Spring is in the Air Card Kit and added a frame pocket to the back of two of my cards.

I love being able to use those pretty chipboard tags in different ways. I thought using them as pockets for the sentiments looked so cute. Plus, you can use the frame to house a photo after the fact if you wish to do so.

Then I used several pðices from the ephemera pack, chipboard collection, Rub-ons, and stickers to decorate the cards.

The card and album collections from Graphic 45 provide a great source of information for crafters of all levels, and it is always fun to use different collections for a set of kit instructions.

Happy crafting.”

Cardmaking Tips for Crafters:

  • Add a Frame Pocket: Create a mini frame on the back of your cards to tuck in a photo or extra sentiment. It’s a sweet surprise and adds a keepsake touch.

  • Chipboard Tags as Sentiment Holders: Don’t just stick chipboard down—use the tag shapes as creative pockets for message inserts or gift cards.

  • Mix and Match Embellishments: Combine rub-ons, stickers, and chipboard to add depth and texture without overwhelming your design.

  • Repurpose Kit Instructions: Use past Graphic 45 project sheets with different paper collections to discover fresh new looks using tried-and-true layouts.

  • Double the Use: Pop-up cards are not only fun to receive—they also double as keepsake mini-displays for desks or shelves!
