‘It’s A Girl’

Baby Shower Invitation

By Joanne Bain

Hello G45er’s!!

Joanne here with you today, hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a fantastic new year!! I don’t use a lot of stamping in my projects so this was a bit of a challenge for me, but I knew I wanted to create something with the gorgeous new Princess collection so I thought why not create a Baby Shower invitation, because let's face it all of our beautiful daughters are Princesses in our own eyes.

I have created an embellished envelope with a pull out insert which is the invitation.

#G45Tip – The Graphic 45 Policy envelopes make a great base for projects that require a pocket. Simply cut away the top flap and cover the outside with the pattern paper of your choice.

To create the envelope I have used one of the small ATC Policy Envelopes. I cut the top flap off of it so it in now more of a pocket.

To create the front of the envelope I have used a couple of the smaller cards from the Princess collection Journaling & Ephemera cards set. I have then fussy cut images from the Princess 8×8 paper pad.

For the title I have used the ‘Its A Girl’ stamp from the Precious Memories #3 stamp set.

The pull out insert was created very simply by cutting away about 5mm from each edge of a large journaling & ephemera card and folding it in half.

I have then used the ‘Baby Shower Invitation stamp from the Precious Memories #2 stamp set. I really liked the colour of the Triumphant Red Decades Ink and found this colour went perfectly with the colours in the Princess Collection.

I created a simple little pull out tab from pattern paper to pull the invitation from the top of the envelope.

I have created a simple snapguide tutorial if you would like to give it a try.
