So Very Merry Christmas Box Tutorial

Hello, G45ers!

Grab a cup of hot cocoa and join us for this So Very Merry Christmas Box Tutorial by Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador, Anna Sigga.  This box is not only beautiful on the outside, but it is also housing the most wonderful set of holiday tags.  These tags would make a fun mini album or split up and added to gifts.  Before we jump into the video tutorial we are pleased to announce that our Let It Snow paper collection (featured here) is now 20% off!

So Very Merry altered box

By Anna Sigga

“I love making all kinds of Christmas related creations and the Let It Snow collection is one of my all-time  favourite collections.

I started by painting the smaller box from the Stacking Circle Box Set and with a rich blue colour to  match the deep blues of the collection.

Then I flipped through the patterned papers and found the patterns that I wanted to use and cut  them so that they would cover the top, bottom, and sides of the circle box.

I inked all the edges of the patterned papers to make sure they would all have a blue hue around them  and since I was covering a round object, I opted for liquid glue to give me a bit more freedom to  “manipulate” the paper.

I wanted to add several layers to create dimensional top for the box and I wanted to use the new Flower  Assortment die-cuts along with a frost-like paste.

The metal clocks are what make this box and how they look against the deep blues and frost like paste is  oh so dreamy. If you have ever wanted to alter a plain object, I highly recommend panting it and then  add colourful papers and embellishments to your heart’s content.
