Build Your Own 2026 Planner
Using Journaling Through Time

Tutorial By Teresa Cruz aka Andor Violeta

“Today I’m excited to share a brand new DIY 2026 Planner created using the beautiful Journaling Through Time collection. This project was designed to be both functional and creative, offering a practical way to plan the year ahead while preserving memories, notes, and everyday moments in a meaningful format.

I did use this format in the past year and I love it, because of the binder rings, we can always add more or take of some of the pages and even decorate and take it back in.

In this tutorial, I walk you through how I made my planner, share tips for assembling the pages, add tabs, stamping and having fun.

This planner can be easily adapted to suit your own style or transformed into a memory keeper, journal, or creative planner for any year.

I hope this project inspires you to create your own handmade planner and enjoy the process of documenting your days in a creative and intentional way.

This collection is very good to make some collage techniques, and mixed media. The designs just boost our creativity to create and each month is a deligh.

Tip: I found a good combination for the collage pieces i cut, that i repeated for each month, that way it was easy and quick to assemble my planner. But if you want a different look each month, you can change the places of your pieces.

For the tabs I used some old stamps from Graphic 45. If you don’t have that, just grab some that you like or just write in your own handwriting.

I used almost every 8*8 paper of my pack. The only papers left, I made a notebook that I will share next month.

Enjoy the tutorial!!

Teresa’s Planner-Making Tips!

Make it easy, make it fun, and keep it flexible! Here are a few smart tips from Teresa to help your planner come together quickly:

  • Repeat a collage recipe: Teresa found a collage layout she loved and repeated it for each month—this keeps the planner cohesive and speeds up assembly.

  • Switch it up anytime: Want a different look each month? Move the collage pieces around for a fresh layout without extra effort.

  • Use what you have for tabs: Teresa used older Graphic 45 stamps for her tabs, but you can use any stamps you love—or even write the months in your own handwriting for a personal touch.

  • Don’t waste a scrap: This project is a great way to use up almost an entire 8×8 Collection Pack—and leftover papers can become bonus projects like notebooks or mini journals!

We hope Teresa’s gorgeous DIY planner inspires you to create your own handmade organizer for 2026! This binder-style format is perfect for planning, journaling, documenting memories, and adding creative details along the way—one month at a time.
