I’m thrilled to be back on the blog this month sharing with you these beautiful Inspirational Cards created for the #G45Feature. These cards are perfect to send to friends or loved ones. My cards feature the Curiouser & Curiouser collection as well as the Matte Pearl Gems. You’ll want to read below as I share how to create my Inspirational Cards at home.

To start, we’ll create the If You Can Dream Card.

 

Step One. Cut a piece of white cardstock that measures 5 ½” x 7 ½”, score at 3 ¼”. 

 

Step Two. Cut a piece from the red side of the Always Late paper that measures 3” x 5 ¼”. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Three. Cut a piece from the gold word side of the Joyous Possibilities paper that measures 2 ¾” x 5”. Flip the paper over and fussy cut two hearts out. Ink the edges of the paper and hearts using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Four. Cut a piece from the heart side of the Curiouser & Curiouser paper that measures 2 ½” x 4 ¾”. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Five. From the Curiouser & Curiouser 12×12 Patterns & Solids Paper Pack, you’ll need plain red paper and plain cream paper. Cut a piece from the red paper that measures 4” x 5 ¼”. Cut a piece from the cream paper that measures 3 ¾” x 5”. Ink the edges of both papers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Six. Choose a large flower bunch to fussy cut from the Happy Hours paper. Ink the edges of the flower bunch using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Seven. From the Adventure Time paper, fussy cut the small flower bunch, small and large gold butterflies and tweedledee & tweedledum. Ink the edges of all the images using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Eight. Out of the Ephemera Set, you’ll need two gold hearts, pocket watch and If You Can Dream Quote. Ink the edges of the gold hearts and pocket watch using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Nine. Out of the Chipboard Tags & Frames, you’ll need the diamond frame. Ink the edges of the frame using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Ten. Adhere the red patterned paper to the front flap of the card. Adhere the gold word paper to the red patterned paper. Adhere the heart paper to the gold word paper.

 

Step Eleven. Open the card up and adhere the plain red paper to the inside of the card. Adhere the cream paper to the red paper.

 

Step Twelve. Adhere the large flower bunch all the way to the left and 1” from the bottom of the flap. Adhere the large butterfly to the top of the large flower bunch as desired. Adhere the two fussy cut hearts in amongst the flower bunch as desired. Adhere a gold heart to the right of one of the hearts you added into the flower bunch.

 

Step Thirteen. Adhere the chipboard frame 1 ⅜” from the left and 1” from the top of the flap. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the small flower bunch to the top right side of the frame as desired. Adhere the small butterfly slightly above the small flower bunch. Adhere the pocket watch to the left of the small flower bunch. Adhere the last gold heart in amongst the pocket watch and small flower bunch. 

 

Step Fourteen. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere tweedledee and tweedledum slightly above the pocket watch and small flower bunch. Adhere the If You Can Quote to the right of tweedledee and tweedledum. Add three black Matte Pearl Gems to the cardfront flap as desired.

 

Step Fifteen. Pick a rub on from the Rub On Transfers for the inside of the card. Add to cream paper. 

 

Now, we’ll create the Adventure Time Card.

 

Step One. Cut a piece of white cardstock that measures 5 ½” x 7 ½”, score at 3 ¼”. 

 

Step Two. Cut a piece from the black flower side of the Beautiful Nonsense paper that measures 3” x 5 ¼”. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Three. Cut a piece from the heart side of the Curiouser & Curiouser paper that measures 2 ¾” x 5”. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Four. Cut a piece from the small floral side of the Outlandish Odyssey paper that measures 2 ½” x 4 ¾”. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Five. Choose a large flower bunch with pocket watch to fussy cut from the Happy Hours paper. Ink the edges of the flower bunch using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Six. From the Adventure Time paper, fussy cut the small flower bunch with gold butterfly, small red butterfly, Alice and flamingo. Ink the edges of all the images using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Seven. From the Curiouser & Curiouser 12×12 Patterns & Solids Paper Pack, you’ll need plain red paper and plain black paper. Cut a piece from the black paper that measures 4” x 5 ¼”. Cut a piece from the red paper that measures 3 ¾” x 5”. Ink the edges of both papers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Eight. Out of the Chipboard Tags & Frames, you’ll need the heart frame. Ink the edges of the frame using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Nine. Out of the Ephemera Set, you’ll need a gold heart, a red heart and Adventure Time Quote. Fussy cut the Adventure Time quote out.  Ink the edges of the hearts and quote using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

 

Step Ten. Adhere the black flower patterned paper to the front flap of the card. Adhere the heart paper to the black flower patterned paper. Adhere the small flower paper to the heart paper.

 

Step Eleven. Open the card up and adhere the plain black paper to the inside of the card. Adhere the red paper to the black paper.

 

Step Twelve. Adhere the large flower bunch all the way to the left side and ⅝” from the bottom of the cardfront flap. Adhere the chipboard frame ⅞” from the left and ¾” from the bottom of the cardfront flap.

 

Step Thirteen. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the flower bunch with butterfly to the top right side of the frame as desired. Use a foam square to adhere the flamingo to the bottom right side of the chipboard frame. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere Alice to the left of the flower bunch and flamingo as desired.

 

Step Fourteen. Adhere the red heart to the top of the frame by Alice as desired. Adhere the gold heart at the bottom of the frame in between Alice and the flamingo as desired. Adhere the Adventure time quote to the bottom of Alice. Add five Black Matte Pearl Gems to the cardfront flap.

 

Step Fifteen. Pick a rub on from the Rub On Transfers for the inside of the card. Add to the red paper.
