Hello, G45ers!
Are you looking to try something new, like an off the page project? Well, we have just the project for you, a Blooming Garden Altered Art Box and a Money Gift Envelope. Both of these outstanding projects have been created by the Aleksandra Mihelič, a regular papercrafting wizard. Aleksandra has used our Flutter paper collection, ATC Book Box, and Lion Knocker to create this beautiful floral garden. So get out your fine tipped scissors and let's get ready to do some fussy cutting!
“Blooming Garden” Altered Box and Money Gift Envelope Tutorial
“Hello, again dear Graphic 45 friends. Let me first wish to you all a Happy Year 2019, full of beautiful memories, blessings, and prosperity. 2018 was kind of bittersweet for me. Although some of my Big Dreams came true (including becoming a Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador) there were some really sad and tragic moments to bear. I’m really hoping that the new year would avoid as many of such moments as possible. Anyway, here I am again with my first inspiration in this year. I decided to use one of the gorgeous Graphic 45 collections that I haven’t had the opportunity to work with yet – the Flutter Collection. It is simply amazing. I altered an ATC G45 Box and made a Blooming Garden with a Water Fountain.
TIP 1: These gorgeous Door Knockers can be used as various things not only limited to Doors 🙂 I here used the Majestic Lion’s Head for a Fountain. Always try to find interesting and unordinary used for your supplies! Amazing things can come out of it!
TIP 2: I love to add “water” to my projects. You can use various things to create water – from Clear Resin, to Glossy Accents, but the easiest way is to use Hot Glue. You can add some Blue Color to make it look more like water or if you use it on top of the paper, you can also use Blue colored paper underneath.
TIP 3: Pay attention to details. Those are the ones that makes the project outstanding! Little flowers, Raindrops on petals, lots of small Butterflies and LadyBugs fluttering arround,…
This beautiful Box is perfect for a gift to someone you love and cherish, so I also made a Money Gift Envelope to go along and this one comes with a video tutorial”.
I used a black Square Policy Envelope and put some patterned paper from the collection on top. Then I used some big Flutter Ephemera cards – one for the Focal image and few others to cut out some pieces to make some 3D embellishments on top of the Envelope. It makes the project more dynamic and interesting.
I used some Square cards that were leftovers from one of my Mixed Media Square Boxes that I altered in the past and made an Envelope insert.
