Introducing Tanya Scrap
2025-2026 Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador
“Hello dear G45ers! My name is Tanya Cloete. I live in South Africa with my husband and our fur babies. I am what you would call an avid scrapper. I am blessed to be able to spend most of my days crafting away in my little piece of heaven, my happy place. I scrapbook simply because I love it, I love making pretty things and it brings me a lot of joy. I love all types of paper crafting, but my love lies mostly in making ‘off the page’ projects. Graphic 45 papers are so unique, they inspire me to do just that!

Repurposing an Old Box into a Fairy Wonderland
PART 1 – THE SHADOW BOX:
- I altered this shadow gift box with the pattern papers from the collection.
- I cut a piece of white cardstock to fit the window of the lid and decorated it with
the rub-on transfers.
- I decorated the lid with ephemera, chipboard and stickers. I then added some glitter on each piece.

Create a Fairy Dress with Fabric and Mica Powder
PART 2 – FAIRY DRESS (dress idea by Noor Bano)
- Cut a square piece of fabric. Fold diagonally twice. Cut a 6 cm slit from the double fold.
Then come over 4 cm. Cut another 5 cm long slit. Then expand again.
- Add some mica powders to some polystyrene cups and mix with water.
- Submerge the dress in these cups and dry out.
- Sprinkle some more mica powder onto the dress and spray with water. Mix and blend the colours.
5.Once it has dried, add some more colour with watercolors.
- Add some glitter on the edges of the dress.

Create Fairy Slippers with Air Dry Clay
PART 3 – FAIRY SLIPPERS
- Create some leaves with a petal/pressing mould and air dry clay.
- Fold and shape the leaves into a cute little shoe shape while they are still pliable. Once you have the shape you desire, glue the pieces with heavy body gel.
- Leave to dry and then prep them with gesso.
- Add colour with some watercolours..

Tips for Crafting Your Fairy Shadow Box:
Mix mediums for magic – Add texture with fabric, air-dry clay, and mica powders to make your fairies truly shine.
Don’t skip the sparkle – A touch of glitter on edges and embellishments takes your project from sweet to spellbinding.
Play with color – Blend watercolors and mica powders for dreamy, fairy-like hues.
Think outside the box (literally!) – Shadow boxes are perfect for dimensional projects, so layer chipboard, stickers, and ephemera to create depth.
Personalize it – Add your own flair with ribbons, pressed flowers, or even little trinkets to make your keepsake one-of-a-kind.
