#G45LeveledUp Seasonal Cards

By Katelyn Spencer

“Hey Everyone!

I’m thrilled to be back on the blog this month sharing these beautiful Seasonal Cards that are based off of the Merry & Bright Card Kit and features the Season to Celebrate Collection

Read below as I share how I modified the cards based off of the Merry & Bright Card Kit.

I will share with you below the additions or modifications that I made to each of the cards. All papers and most of the embellishments on the cards have been inked using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.

Card #1 – Front – Celebrate Spring Season Card: Instead of doing a rub on the bottom of the card, I cut a border from the Spring Cut Apart paper that measures 3 ¾” and adhered ½” from the bottom of the card. From the same cut apart paper, I fussy cut one of the stamps and adhere to the bottom right of the card. To the left of the floral rub on, I used the Life in Bloom Sticker from the Season to Celebrate Cardstock Stickers. On the pop up piece, I foam squared the But First Tea which I fussy cut from the Spring Cut Apart. Behind the pop up I adhere the tea cup with matching flowers from the Season to Celebrate Ephemera. On the portion that the chipboard frame adheres to, I added two circles with coordinating flowers from the Ephemera pack above the frame. The Celebrate Spring Season piece comes from the Spring Cut Apart.

Card #1 – Back – Celebrate Spring Season Card:I chose a border from the Spring Cut Apart and cut it down to 4 ⅞”. I then adhere the bordered strip just at the top of the bottom of the frame. I then foam squared the tulip bunch from the Ephemera pack to the left of the border strip along with using adhesive and foam squares to adhere the floral circle from the Ephemera pack to the right of the tulips.

Card #2 – Front – Hello Card: On the floral paper that adheres to the pop up piece, I added a tab to the right side of the floral paper. On the same floral piece, I foam squared the sunflower from the Ephemera pack along with adhering the Hello sentiment from the Ephemera pack to the bottom of the sunflower. Behind the pop up I fussy cut two stamps from the Summer Cut Apart and adhered them. On top of the chipboard frame, I layered one of the summer chipboard banners on top of the frame and then foam squared the Season to Celebrate chipboard label on top of the banner.

Card #2 – Back – Hello Card:I chose a border from the Spring Cut Apart and cut it down to 4 ⅞”. I then adhere the bordered strip just above the top of the bottom of the frame. I then foam squared the coordinating flowers in a tea cup from the Ephemera pack to the left of the border strip using foam squares.

Card #3 – Front – Warm & Cozy Card: On the floral paper that adheres to the pop up piece, I fussy cut the tea cup with flowers in it from the Winter Cut Apart paper and foam squared it to the right side of the floral paper. I cut part of the Tis the Season border strip from the Winter Cut Apart paper down to 2 ¼”, cutting a notch on the left side of the border strip. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the Tis the Season strip to the left of the tea cup.  Fussy cut around the cardinal from the Ephemera pack and foam square to the bottom right side of the frame. Adhere the Warm & Cozy from the Ephemera pack to the frame as desired. Choose one of the coordinating floral circles and adhere to the left of the Warm & Cozy sentiment as desired.

Card #3 – Back – Warm & Cozy Card: I  foam squared the coordinating flowers in a tea cup from the Ephemera pack to the left of the frame as desired.
