Index Card Notebooks

Tutorial by Paul Ford

“Hello everyone. Paul here once again and with my #SimplyG45 assignment. I was tasked with making a project which is simple and affordable. I like mini books so decided to make the cute little index card notebooks. I managed to get these cards for £1 and then used one sheet of 12×12 paper to cover it all. Then it is up to you how lavish you make it. I used some stickers, journal cards, rub ons and ephemera pieces that would just be lying around. Of course you can make it simpler or go to town and really decorate it to the hills!

I used the Let it Bee Keepsake collection for mine. It was the first collection I used when I started my Ambassador journey so it felt fitting to end with it too. But of course, these can be made using any collection you own.” ~Paul

Crafty Tips from Paul:

  • Keep it simple: All you need to start is a pack of index cards and one sheet of 12×12 paper.

  • Shop your stash: Stickers, rub-ons, ephemera, and journaling cards from any collection will work beautifully.

  • Make it your own: Go minimalist with just paper and staples, or add layers and embellishments to suit your style.

  • Use what you have: Don’t have index cards? Try repurposing packaging or scrap paper cut to size!

We hope Paul’s Index Card Notebook tutorial inspires you to look around your craft room—and your house—for materials to transform into something beautiful.
