Spring Themed Signatures
Tutorial by Maria Smeshkova
“Hello everyone!
I love finding creative ways to use leftover paper, and these spring-themed signatures are exactly that — a fun and functional addition to any junk journal or mini album!
I made two signatures using the “Grow with Love” collection by Graphic 45. The papers are bursting with florals, butterflies, and positive quotes — perfect for capturing spring’s fresh, colorful energy. To add more personality, I decorated the covers with rub-ons and paper leftovers. Each signature holds plenty of space for journaling, photos, and interactive elements.
These signatures were created to go inside a mini album, but they can easily be used on their own. I bound them with eyelets and elastic so they can be removed and rearranged. Inside, I’ve already added a few photos from a family trip to a tropical bird park — and there’s still plenty of room for more memories.
This is such a satisfying way to repurpose scraps, reduce waste, and breathe new life into your paper stash. I hope this inspires you to create your own signatures — they’re easy, fun, and so versatile!

Tips for Making Mini Album Signatures from Scraps
Sort your scraps first: Group similar colors or patterns together to make the process quicker and more cohesive.
Mix paper sizes: Varying widths and heights create visual interest and give that “junk journal” charm.
Use rub-on transfers: Add flair to plain pages or leftover solids with beautiful rub-ons from the same collection.
Include interactive elements: Foldouts, pockets, or tuck spots add function and fun.
Think removable: Binding your signatures with elastic and eyelets gives you the flexibility to rearrange or reuse them.
Decorate the covers: Leftover chipboard, tags, and frame pieces make for perfect statement embellishments.
