#G45Technique – Mixed Media “Canvas” with Ocean Blue

“Hello everyone,

I love to save things to recycle and repurpose, we even have an old house that we are restoring, so I always see old stuff many times before throwing away, so I can see if I can reuse in some other way… we actually save a lot of money doing that!!

So I have some old stool tops, collecting dust on a shelf, that I remember it could be perfect to use on my Technique project of this month, with the fabulous New Ocean Blue collection. This is a really old stool top, you will see on my video tutorial that I prepared for you.

But first, I want to show you some photos of my finished project!!

I also use many natural elements on this, like seashells and natural fabric fishing net, tiny rocks…

Tip: The heavy body gel, white gesso, texture paste nad paint are your great allies for mixed media project, but you also need gorgeous fussy cutted elements for you favorite paper collections.

The paper for the background of a mixed media project doesn’t need to be very busy, so the patterns and solids papers can do the job.

Tip: Some tiny details make a big difference in your projects, the embellishments like the die cuts that are ready to add in every size that you need, some pearls or gems, chipboards and beads, use what you have and go with the flow…
