Large Dimensional Tags with Pocket

Tutorial by Anna Sigga

“Hello all!

I love to add all the dimensions when I create tags, but this can make it somewhat difficult (sometimes impossible) to write on the back of them.

So, why not make a quick and easy pocket to store a sentiment?

I started by picking what papers to use, and of course, I had to use the Curiouser & Curiouser collection because I love it to bits.

I die-cut the tag shape using the Large Die set from Graphic 45 and adhered it to the front of the tag. Then, I cut the pieces I needed.

Measurements:
  • Large pieces for the front of the tag: 7 ¼ x 3 ⅜ inches
  • Pocket for the back: 4 ¾ x s ⅜ inches
  • Small tag: 5 ¾ x 2 ¾ inches

I adhered the larger piece of patterned paper using foam adhesive to the front of the tag. Then, I took the smaller piece of patterned paper, rounded the bottom corner (totally optional), and used a 1” circle punch to create a notch at the top of the pocket. I used ⅛ “double-sided tape to adhere the pocket in place.

Then I decorated the front of the tag to my heart’s desire – I used plenty of foam tape, chipboard, and all sorts cause now I don’t need to worry about the ability to write a message on the back.

I decorated the smaller tag (on which to write the message) using a cutout from one of the 12×12 papers and added ribbon to finish the look.

Happy crafting.” ~Anna
