Teresa Cruz aka Andor Violeta – Portugal
2021-2022 Graphic 45 Grand Brand Ambassador
“Hi everyone, my name is Teresa Cruz, I am Virgo, i am blessed with a fantastic husband and two boys, my sons aged 7 and 2 years old, they are my life and my inspiration.
In the craft world, i’m also known by the name of my blog called “Andor Violeta” which is a typical portuguese expression that mean “hurry up”, “come on, go forward”. As I know I’m a very easygoing and practical person, I thought this name sounded good to me.
I entered the craft world in 2008. Since then I have never stopped. I love different types of projects but the ones I like to do the most are albums, postcards, tags, layouts, 3D projects, etc. I’m always changing the type of projects, so I don’t get bored, and I love challenges.
I feel lighter and relaxed when doing my projects with paper, it makes me feel good, it’s my therapy, it’s a part of me.
Since 2014 I dreamed of joining the Graphic 45 team of ambassadors and that dream came true in April 2019, at a difficult stage in my life, but that also helped me a lot.
It’s amazing to work with Graphic 45, Charee always guides us when we need, and it’s awesome to be part of this big family!! So this year as a Grand Ambassador, an opportunity to stay another year with Graphic 45 means so much to me, it’s amazing!! I’m very grateful!”
And now my advice, you’ve probably heard this already, but it’s really true:
Don’t give up on your dreams, work for them, sooner or later you’ll get there!!
#G45Selfie – Square Mini Album Bird Watcher
And now, that you already know a bit about me let’s take a look of my selfie project. I decided to use a square tag and pocket kraft album from graphic 45 with one of the newest collections that i love the most. This album was really fun and easy to decorate, i use both papers form the collection and from the pattern & solids papers pads.
This is a huge album, it takes a lot of photos, and i didn’t add yet photo mats on the right open pockets, so it can take a lot more if i want. It’s an amazing size because i can cut one 12*12 in four pieces and use in four different pages!!
I enjoy also the process of decorating the cover!! i use both prima and pastel flowers to add a pop of colour and some of the die cuts from the collection.
Tip: use your patterns on the back of your paper from the collection as i did here, leaving a little bit all around. Your can see the blue pattern shinning and highlighting the title and the other details on this cover also blue. It’s amazing how the little details can make a difference on your projects.
Another thing i like to do on my albums and journals is to use a lot of ribbons. Here i use four different colours of seam binding ribbon, they look so cute and soft, i love it!!
A beautiful piece of chipboard on the back and on the spine are enough, don’t you think?
And you know how i love fussy cutting!! I add a bit here and there on top of the photos of this album!!
Here you can see i use some stickers on top of the photos and also some chipboards!!
A banner on the back of your photo is also a simple detail you can use to highlight your photo in a different, clean & simple way!!
And now, if you found this inspiring i hope you enjoy the video tutorial and flip through i prepare to you! Follow me!
To create this project, i use this Graphic 45 products:
