Hello, G45ers!
Welcome to the Graphic 45 blog! Today, we are spreading the holiday cheer with two tag tutorial videos, and the announcement of our weekly blog contest winner! These tag tutorials are inspired by our #G45Tag – December Challenge, and both by Brand Ambassador, Kasia Bogatko. These tags are perfect for the upcoming holidays, so pull out your Christmas Magic, Twelve Days of Christmas, and Artist Trading Tags and let's have some fun!
Quick & Easy Christmas tags
“Hello!
I know how difficult it is to find time in this pre-Christmas time. For me, it is very important that each gift I give has something special. I really like to add something even to the simplest bag or package. Such tags are very easy to make, and certainly whoever gets such a decorated gift will be very happy. In this way, you give something special and unique.
My first proposition is ten-minute tags. Believe me, it will take you the most time to choose papers, measure them and cut them out. The tags are simple and effective, you can quickly perform them among other holiday duties. As a base, I used Regular Tags – Kraft. The papers are Christmas Magic – 12×12 Patterns & Solids and a beautiful page with notes from the Twelve Days of Christmas. The whole was complemented by beautiful chipboards from both collections.
I like to use natural elements in my projects, and Christmas works are perfect for that. Here I reached for the reindeer moss. It has great properties – it is always fresh and soft, it will not dry out and it will not crumble, you do not have to be afraid.
To make the tags more winter and snowy, fit the holiday climate – I used a white gesso. It should be applied with a dry brush, taking a very small amount. We only want to slightly emphasize our project, do not paint it.
I made a video especially for you, where you will see step by step how I prepared these tags. I hope that it will be an inspiration for you.

Another proposal is for even more busy people – five-minute tags! 🙂 This time I used tiny Artist Trading Tags – Kraft as a base. They are perfect for small, cute gift pendants. You can also prepare decorations for a Christmas tree in this way. Use your imagination. Christmas collections from Graphic 45 are full of beautiful die-cuts and chipboards that will work perfectly here.
Also in this case, I put on natural add-ons, not only the reindeer moss, but also a curly moss. You may as well use tiny twigs, tangled strings or threads, gauze. Remember also about the delicate "snowing" it with gesso. I really like white splashing, that's why I added them here. Use a white acrylic ink or diluted white paint and a small brush – you will get beautiful, small dots, like snowflakes.
Also here I have a very short video for you.

In this pre-Christmas mess, try to sit for a moment and break away from home duties. For sure, such a short moment at the desk will relax you, let you tear your thoughts away from nervous bustle, and at the same time you will enrich yourself with beautiful gift tags! :)” ~Kasia
