Watercolor Layout Tutorial Featuring Fairie Dust

Hello, G45ers!

Today we have an extra special water coloring layout tutorial using our Fairie Dust collection.  This step by step YouTube video is great for anyone looking to take their scrapbooking to the next level.  Elena Olinevich shows us how adding a splash of watercolors and fussy cuts to a layout is eye-catching and fun to do! So pull out your Graphic 45 papers and let's start creating a project to remember!

 “I like looking through the pictures taken with my kids, it’s so fun to create the scrapbooking pages with their photos. This time I found a fun picture when they were younger and decided to created something with Fairie Dust collection

 

I knew that I wanted to add some watercolors to my layout, so I kept the white space for it and placed the background paper mostly in the right and in the left, just tearing it into parts.

 

 

The white space I used to do a simple watercolor drawing of simple flowers. This collection has so many colors, so it was a good chance to use the pastel colors to add some airy and light images, and watercolors were the best solution for that purpose

 

 

I also made a lot of fussy cutting and placed those Fairies images around my photo

 

 

For my title, I used a “Make a Wish” cut out and placed it a bit behind of my focus photo

 

 

I couldn’t miss the flowers as the embellishments and topped some of them with the fairies

 

 

Adding the mushrooms was the most fun process step while creating this layout.
