Teresa Cruz – Portugal

2019-2020 Brand Ambassador

“Hello everyone, I’m Teresa Cruz from Portugal, and this is my first time posting on Graphic 45 page, as a Brand Ambassador for 2019-2020. I’m so so so happy to be here, you already know this a Dream Team, so, my dream has come true. It’s also an honor to be the very first Portuguese to become G45 Brand Ambassador, I already receive so much love of so many people, that I only can say thank you everyone and thanks Graphic 45 family.

So let me introduce myself. I’m 34 years old, married to the best man ever, and we have two awesome kids, one with 5 years old and one with 4 months old. They are my big treasures and my inspiration!!

I knew the world of scrapbooking about in 2008 when I bought my first cutting machine. Back then I was finishing my studies to be a childhood educator, and I was immediately in love with all the creative possibilities of scrapbooking.

Fun detail: My very first Graphic 45 paper (at least as I remember), was from A Ladies’ Diary Collection, and I only buy some of the papers back then because I didn’t realize that there were collection paper pads… and later on when I start to see and realized that I was in love with Graphic 45 papers just see some of my first papers that I cut for some random project…

What…?!

I felt so upset that I wasted those papers (that were so difficult to find in my country, still are), that from that moment, whenever I bought Graphic papers I kept them for my more special projects, like a really G45Lover, right?!!

I think it’s time to just talk about my most favorite projects, and show you the project that I made that I think can represent me and my style.

It’s an Exploding Box that I made with my very first collection,  A Ladies’ Diary, that you can find now as a Deluxe Collector’s Edition.

I think everyone is like an exploding box, you see the exterior, but you never know what is inside, until you “open the box”.

I just love to make 3D projects, layouts, mini albums, some mix-media, and altered/upcycled projects.

I like to add textures and some dimension, love to fussy cut and prefer the light colors.

Tip: You can see that I always add something to raise my fussy cut pieces. This gives you dimension, even in tiny projects.

I handmade this box to match the size of the ATC tags, that is just my favorite size.

Here you have the tutorial, with guidelines and tips, for you to make this project.
