Notebook Covers

“I like doing notebook covers, it’s quite simple and cute gift for any occasion. I like to combine fabric covers with paper embellishments, so I decided to show you how easy it is to recreate it.

I covered the cover with the fabric that I ‘ve made myself – so I cut a thick cardboard and connected 2 pieces of it with a cardstock piece, then added the fleece on top of it and wrapped with fabric.

What I would like to suggest you to try is – adding the stitching to your paper layers. It depends how thick material your sewing machine can deal with, however, you can try on stitching 2 paper pieces together. It’s a good alternative to distressing the edges, as they look even in both cases.

Here is a quick video showing you how to create the paper layering, all you need is an image as a main focus, 2-3 layers to put underneath, and a few fussy cut outs would be a perfect match too.

I worked with Raining Cats & Dogs DCE collection. it’s so great if you are a pet lover.” ~Elena

“I like using flowers for my projects, especially cards. Recently I’ve started creating several cards at once, so it’s quite easy when you have enough flowers nearby. What I like about Graphic 45 papers most of all, is that there are plenty images to fussy cut off from the papers."
