With Christmas just around the corner, we have a week filled with holiday inspiration, starting with a DIY Joy to the World Mini Album. This scrapbook has been created by Brand Ambassador, Glenys Vidal using Chipboard Sheets and Washi Tape as a part of our #ClubG45LeveledUp series. Glenys has taken our Club G45 Vol 10 and Club G45 Vol 5 and mashed the techniques together to create this absolutely gorgeous album. We encourage you to pull out your paper and washi and get your creativity on.

Joy To The World Christmas Mini Album

“Hello, G45ers and happy holidays! I am super excited to be here to share my first Christmas project for this year: a mini album using the Joy To The World collection. This project is inspired by two different projects created for the G45 club {Club G45 Vol 10} {Club G45 Vol 5}, and of course by the gorgeous papers from the collection.

To create my cover I used black chipboard as a base and a combination of different papers from the collection. Being this a holiday album, I wanted to give it a more sparkly and festive look. I used the idea from the vol 5 project of the club to use architectural gold washi to accentuate the borders. I thought that this was a magnificent idea, especially for holiday projects.

By just adding the gold washi tape to my cover it made a huge difference. I loved it!

To create the cover of my mini I used various papers from the collection and lots of fussy cut images to create dimension. For the closure, I used a dark green ribbon to contrast with the other colors of the album. I took a lot of inspiration from Volume 10 of the G45 Club. In this volume, Graphic 45 altered a book box using papers from the Joy to the World collection. I wanted a similar look but in a mini album. This is my version:

For the interior pages, I used a combination of pockets and flaps to create lots of space to store my Christmas photos.
