Paper Covered Beach Houses

Today I would like to show you how to create beach houses and at the same time use this beautiful latest collection of papers “The Beach is Calling”.

I don’t know about you, but I love the sea so much, the sound of it and the waves crashing on the shore cause an amazing state in me, they have a soothing and relaxing effect.

The same thing happens in my mind when I browse through this collection.

I don’t know of another collection like it. This one is the only one, special and absolutely unique.

I like the color combinations in it, the wonderful graphics of the sea, beaches, shells and starfish. Very cool is the fact that here there are postage stamps in nautical style, lots of banners with various summer inscriptions. A great idea for these papers, was to combine patterned graphics, postcards and stamps – like memories from vacation; with subdued backgrounds, or reduced elements in marine and beach style.

As for the creation of these designs themselves, I used a wooden base. Originally it was a two-part frame, but by separating it and gluing paper underneath, I gained two slightly different frames. They reminded me very much of beach cottages, so it was on the paper, I reflected the mask with structural paste, and on the other one I used liquid dots from Nuvo to draw lines imitating those wooden boards.

In order not to be boring, I covered the edges of the wooden base with two more types of lace.

I started the composition by making the doors, which I covered with white gesso and painted. I painted one door white, and using Marine Blue ink, I inked the other door. I then glued them to my base with glue.

Chippoard Tags and Frames, turned out to be my base on which I built the whole composition. What I like about them is that they are so hard and stiff. This way the frames, even though they are frames, don’t bend or tear. I love them!

As if that wasn’t enough for this collection, rubb ons were also created. These are such very cool stickers that we can apply with a wooden stick directly on the paper.

Further as I arranged the composition, of course I made everything very rich. There is a lot going on in this project and I think it will gain its fans. I invite you to the video, in which I will show you how to prepare such a project step by step.

Hello Crafters!

Dzisiaj chciałabym Wam pokazać jak stworzyć plażowe domki i jednocześnie wykorzystać tę przepiękną najnowszą kolekcję papierów “The Beach is Calling”.

Nie wiem jak wy, ale ja tak bardzo kocham morze, jego szum i rozbijające się o brzeg fale powodują u mnie niesamowity stan, działają kojąco i relaksująco.

To samo dzieje się w mojej głowie, kiedy przeglądam tę kolekcję.

Nie znam drugiej takiej kolekcji. Ta jest jedyna, wyjątkowa i absolutnie niepowtarzalna.

Podobaja mi się w niej połączenia kolorystyczne, cudowne grafiki morza, plazy, muszelek i rozgwiazdy. Bardzo fajne jest to, że znalazły się tutaj znaczki pocztowe w morskim stylu, mnóstwo banerków z różnymi letnimi napisami. świetnym pomysłem na te papiery, było połączenie

wzorzystych grafik, pocztówek i znaczków- niczym wspomnienia z wakacji; z stonowanymi tłami, lub pomniejszonymi elementami w morskim i plazowym stylu.

Jesli chodzi o samo stworzenie tych projektów, to wykorzystałam bazę drewnianą. Pierwotnie była to dwuczęściowa ramka, ale rozdzielając ją i podklejając papier pod spodem, zyskałam dwie nieco różniące się od siebie rameczki. Bardzo przypominały mi plażowe domki, dlatego właśnie na papierach, odbiłam maskę za pomocą pasty strukturalnej, a na drugiej za pomocą kropelek w płynie od Nuvo narysowałam kreski imitujące te drewniane deski.

Aby nie było nudno brzegi bazy drewnianej okleiłam jeszcze dwoma rodzajami koronki.

Kompozycję rozpoczęłam od zrobienia drzwiczek, które pokryłam białym gesso i pomalowałam. Jedne drzwi pomalowałam na biało, a drugie za pomocą tuszu w kolorze Marine Blue, wytuszowałam. Następnie przykleiłam je na klej do mojej bazy.

Chippoard Tags and Frames, okazały się być moją podstawą na której budowałam całą kompozycję. Podoba mi się w nich to, że są takie twarde i sztywniutkie. Dzięki temu ramki, mimo że to ramki, nie wyginają się, ani nie przedzierają. Uwielbiam je!

Jakby tego było mało do tej kolekcji powstały także rubb on. To takie bardzo fajne naklejki, które możemy nakładać za pomocą drewnianego patycznka wprost na papier.

Dalej jak układałam kompozycję, oczywiście zrobiłam wszystko na bardzo bogato. Dużo się dzieje na tym projekcie i myślę, że zyska swoich fanów. Zapraszam Was na film, w którym pokażę Wam jak krok po kroku przygotować taki projekt.
