Halloween in Wonderland: Craft Room Decor

#G45DarkSide

By Glenys Vidal

Hello G45ers,

This is Glenys known as Craft Room Secrets and I am here to share with you a fun post: an updated holiday decor for my craft room using the amazing Halloween in Wonderland collection.

As soon as I heard that the Halloween in Wonderland collection was going to be released again, I jumped out of joy! I knew that I wanted to use this collection for my holiday decor this year. My family and I absolutely love Alice in Wonderland. We love it so much that we actually used this theme in a few years back to decorate our house for Christmas. Imagine my happiness when Graphic 45 made it into a halloween collection. It was pure genius!

I decided switch up my craft room decor to a more dark theme for Halloween. I was inspired by the purple, black and orange colors of the collection. Here are some pictures:

The first step was to decorate a mini tree that I usually use during Christmas time. But I thought, why not use it for Halloween too? I made simple ornaments using my punches and fuzzy cut images to decorate it.

For my next project, I altered a chipboard witch hat. I started by painting it black and then used papers from the collection and black glittered tulle to decorate it.

I wanted to make paper flowers using dies to decorate my witch hat. It was so easy and fast to do. I used a flower die, scrapbook paper, and glitter to make them.

I then used leaf die cuts, fuzzy cut images, feathers, and metal embellishments to complete it. I placed it on top of a candle stand. I really love how festive it looks!

Last but not least, the last item I tackled for the decor was a new scrapbook layout for my 12×12 shadow box. I wanted to showcase a picture of my family that was taken last Halloween.

For my layout I wanted lots of dimension and layers. I used flowers, ribbon, wood veneers, and fuzzy cut images from the collection to create a spooky garden wonderland theme.

I finished my craft room decor by switching up some default items on my wall. I added a pumpkin marquee light shape. My usual letterboard now reads: “October 31 Trick or Treat!”. I then added a Dollar Tree Happy Halloween decor sign. And to finish it up I used a 4×6 project life card on my normal white picture frame. Now my wall decor is completed!

I now absolutely love my new Halloween decor! Now I am ready to start making the rest of my holiday projects, sip a pumpkin spice latte and be in a festive holiday mood.

Thank you so much for reading!” ~Glenys
