Enchanting Witch & Top Hat with Trinket Books

Tutorial by Gina Long

“There’s a little witch in all of us. “Practical Magic”

Making little witch hats for a special little Halloween gift for teachers, grandkids, family, and friends would be so cute.

Welcome to my project! I’m sharing some little witch-hat and top hat treats/trinket boxes today. They each have a different little trinket book hidden inside.

The trinket books are made from plastic skulls, pumpkins, and a chipboard micro mini album.

I used one of my favorite collections, Enchanted Forest.

To make the little witch hat, you will need

from pattern paper Medieval Splendor cut a 6 ¼ ” circle

and a 4 ⅜ ” circle (cut a 2 ⅜ ” circle from the center of the 4 ⅜ ‘ one)

Also, cut from pattern paper 1″ by 8″ strip, score on 1″ side at ¼ , and cut teeth into that ¼ ” section.

Cut a 6 ¼ ” circle template from scrap paper and cut a ¼ ” pizza slice out.

Cut one Chipboard Circle 4 ⅜ “

cut a 6 ¼ ” circle from black cardstock and a 5 ¾ ” circle from the center of the 6 ¼ ” one.

Follow the reel to put it together.

To make the trinket books, you will need a small plastic pumpkin and skull, and you will need to cut these very carefully in half.

For each one, you will need

a hinge 3/4″ by 6″ score on the 6″ side at ¾ – 1 ¼ – 1 ¾ – 1 ⅞  – 2 ⅜ – 2 ⅞ – 3- 3 ½ – 4- 4 ⅛ – 4 ⅝ – 5 ⅛ – 5 ¼
