Junk Journal with Fairie Wings

By Teresa Cruz aka Andor Violeta

“Hello everyone,

Yes, I have another Travel Journal to share with you!! I just love this kind of project, and with Graphic 45 they come up always amazing!!

This time I chose Fairie Wings, of course, I was very excited to work with this collection. As soon as these papers arrived in my hands I fussy cut flowers and fairies and I made two cards to give!! But now is time for a journal, in a junk journal style. I decorated a handmade journal made by my talented friend, Ângela Barbosa. You can see the before and after here:

This journal was made with Sizzix Eileen Hull Wrapped Journal Die by my friend. So this time I don’t share how to make it, I want to share with you how to decorate it. It’s a very cute and good size for a journal. If you want to know how to make one from the beginning click here for my another tutorial. And I love to make journals and junk journals in this size. You also can see here another junk journal with Graphic 45 and this die that I also made, link for my junk journal.

I usually make some of my travel albums more simple so I can take them with me in my bag, especially on the cover, but this time I couldn’t help myself and I just add some layers of fussy cut elements from the papers.

Here you can see how cute the size of this journal is on the hand of my one and a half year son. Too much cuteness in one photo!!

To make the inside signatures of this journal I just grab some papers that I tea-dyed and dried in the oven. I love to make some sheets darker. You can make that, leaving them a little longer on the oven to dry.

You can see here some of the pages of this junk journal…

You don’t need much to make a junk journal, just fussy cut some elements from the collection, use some scraps of paper, some bigger papers to use on the pages, and some stickers. Then you can assemble all together decorating with different materials, and you can add some details with distress, stencil, and stamping. It’s a lot of fun!!

I hope you liked my project, I had a lot of fun.

So follow me in this Youtube video tutorial, so you can decorate/make your Junk Journal!!
