Fruit and Flora Tags

By Sandi Nagel

“Hello, fellow paper crafters! Today I’m sharing a couple of Graphic 45 decorative tags, featuring the Fruit and Flora paper collection.

The tags were super easy to make! I decided to use both the Graphic 45 Large Tag and Square Tag in black.  I die-cut the inserts with the Graphic 45 Large Tag and Square Tag dies.

For the larger tag, I used a set of Spellbinders dies from my stash to frame the beautiful Life is Sweet sentiment that you see in the center.  I trimmed a sentiment strip from the Fruit and Flora paper collection and glued it over the purple insert. I also trimmed a couple of apple pictures from the collection and used the black 3D foam squares that you can get from Graphic 45.

To add dimension to the Life is Sweet framed sentiment, I used scrap pieces from my Graphic 45 Chipboard (in black), back to back until I reached the desired height.

I used the Graphic 45 Leaves dies to die-cut the embellishment leaves and the Graphic 45 Rose Bouquet for the flowers.

Tip: For a sturdy decorative piece, I like to die-cut several pieces of the same shape and then glue them back to back.   If you look closely, you will notice that I’ve done this with the frames and the leaves. In this case I used black card stock, as it helps to add a shadow to these die-cut pieces.

I also used my Graphic 45 Clock Frame die to make a beautiful ornate topper for my decorative tags.

You’ll notice that I’ve done a bit of embossing on the square tag using my Graphic 45 cling stamps(coming March 2020).   I glued down a background metal piece from my stash, and right over it, I glued my Graphic 45 Brass Door Knocker.  Hanging from the door knocker are some Graphic 45 Brass Ornate Metal Keys, and I’ve added Graphic 45 Matte Pearl Gems in black to both tags.

I inked around the edges on the front using the Graphic 45 Clearsnap Decades ink in Photogenic.
