Christmas Magic Tags

By Aleksandra Mihelič

Hello my dear Graphic 45 friends. Here we are again, in one of the most magical months of the Year – sweet December. Do you love it too? I always travel back in time, remembering beautiful childhood memories, when everything gets covered in soft snow, all is white, bright lights make each corner of our homes magical and warm. And what else is magical in this time? For kids, no doubt, gorgeous beautiful presents hidden under the Christmas tree. And this month’s G45 challenge fits perfectly. Gorgeous Christmas Tags will make each present so much more magical and special. I prepared three different Tags for you with the latest Christmas Graphic 45 collection Christmas Magic.

With all the amazing papers and Tags bases, Graphic 45 offers these are really easy to make.

TIP 1: I love to combine different Tag bases. You can cut top tag so it fits perfectly to your bottom tag.

TIP 2: Beautiful Graphic 45 Metal Die “Regular Tag and Gears” is perfect to dress your Graphic 45 Regular Tags. It’s just a bit smaller and it gives such a gorgeous look.

TIP 3: I love to use Decades Inks to Distress edges, like with this Imagine tags that I put on top. This vintage colored “Venetian Lace” gives it such a gorgeous worn-out look.

TIP 4: You can add some dimension to your projects using 3d foam tape or, for larger surfaces, I like to use regular cardboard cut into pieces. It makes the project more sturdy.

TIP 5: You can add at least a bit of mixed-media look to each of your paper projects if you like it. Here I colored Imagine tags with Lindy’s Magicals and I also dry-brushed patterned paper on base tags with a bit of a white gesso.

TIP 6: Graphic 45 Journaling & Ephemera Cards are just the best thing ever! They are so easy to work with and making projects with them is so quick and simple. I love to use them specially for Tags, because their size is just perfect for them! I also used some plain cardboard at the back to raise them above the level of bottom tags and add dimension.

TIP 7: I always like to finish my project off with another mixed-media trick… some white splashes with diluted acrylic paint and a brush. Here they give such a snowy effect to this tags.

TIP 8: You can also add some additional interest to your tags using Graphic 45 Chipboards that come with each collection.
