Mother’s Day Loaded Pocket Folio

By Jenn DuBell

“Hello G45ers! Today I am sharing my first May project. Tasked with creating something seasonal or holiday themed, I decided to create a fun folio for Mother’s Day and what better paper collection to use but Portrait of a Lady!?

Although this collection works for many projects it was absolutely perfect to create my vintage look Mother’s Day Folio. This is a two in one project as well! Not only a folio but also a loaded pocket!

There is a tutorial video on how to create the base and pockets below the photos and details in this post.

This folio measures 5”X7”, has a flat pocket and a box pocket on the front.

The inside has a gatefold opening that hides a pocket and has two smaller pockets on the front that also act as a closure system when a photo matte is placed inside them.

Below is another regular pocket. This pocket has a 4 ¼”X6” card insert.

Thank you for viewing my project today! ~Jenn

Happy Mother’s Day!!

Cut Guide For Base and Pockets

By Jenn DuBell

The Folio Base
Ivory 110lb. Cardstock (I cut from 8 ½”X11”)
Cut 1 piece that measures 5”X11” and another that measures 5”X6 ¾” adhere these together using ¾” scoretape. This will result in a 5”X17 ⅜” piece.

Inside:

Gate Fold Doors

Ivory 110lb. Cardstock

Cut 2 pieces that measure 3”X6 ⅞”

Small Pockets For Doors

Ivory 110lb. Cardstock
Cut 2 pieces that measure 3”X3 ½”

Pocket Under Doors

Cut from either a cut apart as I did, or solid paper

5 ⅞”X3 ½”

Hinges For Bottom Pocket

Ivory 110lb. Cardstock
Cut 2 pieces that measure 1”X 2 ⅞”

Outside:
Front Flat Pocket
Ivory 110lb. Cardstock

Cut 1 piece that measures 6”X5 ½”

Front Box Pocket

Ivory 110lb. Cardstock

Cut 1 piece that measures 7”X4 ½”

All scoring is shown for these in the tutorial

Please note, I have used Ivory 110lb cardstock for my folio, however this is optional. 80lb. will work just as well.

This is a fun folio project suited for any holiday and can be decorated with any of your favorite Graphic 45 paper collections!” ~Jenn
