Me at 45 Layout
By Amy Voorthuis
“Me at 45! {it’s a bit ambiguous} I turned 45 on march 6th & me at Graphic 45.
For this layout I used three pictures, one of me and two of my work place. I have worked as an optician since 2014 and love my job. Before that I also worked in an optic store {the same one} but I couldn’t measure eyes and i went to school to make that dream come true. The pictures are all in frames that I made with molds and treated with paints, ink and waxes.
On the background of my layout I added the Graphic 45 “Script & Argyle Stamp” and a stencil then I stitched around the edges which is my signature on almost every layout I make. I also used a couple of metal embellishments on my layout, some older and some newer. The black flowers are from the rose bouquet collection and are still available in the graphic 45 store. I also added a small glass bottle next to my picture with little screws & nuts in it that I use at my job on a daily basis. In the end I added some micro beads with screws &
nuts on a couple of places throughout my layout and also some bigger pearls near or on the flower clusters. I also added a couple of butterflies which I placed on top of each other to give them more dimension.
Thank you so much for visiting the blog, until next time much love Amy xox
Amy Voorthuis – The Netherlands
2023-2024 Graphic45 Brand Ambassador
Hi Graphic 45 friends,
My name is Amy Voorthuis and I live near the capital of The Netherlands with my husband Jeroen and two beautiful kids, our son Kevin who is 18 and our daughter Abbey who will turn 4 in little over a month. Jeroen & I have been together for 25 years and he is very supportive of me having this great hobby as my creative outlet. I am so excited to start this journey as a brand ambassador for Graphic 45. Most of my online friends know that Graphic 45 is the brand that made me love this hobby so much. They were the first papers I got to create with and I am still very much in love with them. I have tried to be on the Graphic 45 design team 5 times before the 6th time’s a charm 😉 I got introduced to this hobby by my aunt Ellen who lives in the USA one year before Kevin was born so that is the year 2004. Graphic 45 was born in 2007 so that probably makes you think how did you make your layouts before?, well that’s easy on just plain cardstock. I love making layouts and my style is always evolving but I really love the romantic stuff with lots of flowers and lately more into the mixed media style which is a great match with Graphic 45 papers. I also make cards, canvasses and off the page projects every once in a while. Olde Curiosity Shoppe is my most favorite collection ever made by Graphic 45 so my first layout is made with that collection. I normally really love soft toned collections & making layout with them but this is an exception.
