Mixed Media Memory Dex Cards

By Janus Zate

“Hello G45ers! This is Janus and I’m here to share with you these memory dex cards with a mixed media twist,  I made them using Graphic 45 Portrait of a Lady Deluxe Collector’s Edition

I used some white card stock cut at 4  x 3.75 inches and rounded the top portions to keep it from wearing early and added some tabs.

A few splashes of paint and some textures can go a long way with your projects. Here I explored using some foiling to the background to give a simple but elegant and fresh new addition.

I like having dimensions to my projects so there’s a lot of body and volume to it with the items I use, like flowers and I even make use of the extra chipboards to give my elements more dimension, but you can stick to just the chipboard and stickers from the collection if you’d like to minimize the bulk of your cards. As for me the chunkier the better!

You can interchange the steps in this project such as the painting and foiling portion. One card I made by painting the background first and then added foiling. Then the other two cards, I did the foiling first and painted the background last, just to show you that there are always ways to work around steps in case you forget to do a certain part at the exact same way I do it.

You can watch my process video thru my Youtube Channel.
