Portrait of a Lady – Gift Card Purse

By Tanya Cloete

Hello dear G45ers!

Happy to share my project this month featuring the stunning Graphic 45 Portrait of a Lady Deluxe Collector’s Edition.

I created a Gift Card Purse with a Card. I used my Silhouette to cut the box (purse).

I love the color combo of this collection, the pinks and greens are so pretty and the accompanying chipboard and stickers add the perfect finishing touch to any project.

Herewith the Supplies and Instructions you may use to recreate such a project:

G45 Supplies used:

Portrait of a Lady – Deluxe Collector’s Edition

Folder & Sentiment Dies

Metal Paper Charm Clips

Other Supplies used:

Silhouette Cut File:

3D Gift Card Wallet by Lori Whitlock Design ID 45493

Bow Cutting Die

Scoring Board

Kraft Cardstock

Velcro Dots

Foam Adhesive Squares

Chipboard Leaves

Watercolor Paper

Embossing Powder

Lace

Cut a purse from the pattern sheets in the collection. Cut two strips as seen below to be used as ‘straps’ for the purse.

Add lace to the piece of the purse that is supposed to line the inside of the purse, however I used it to line the outside instead.

Tip: adding lace to this piece will look neat when adhering it to the outside of the purse.

Cut a card from the pattern sheets (measurements: 18.5 cm x 12 cm) and score in half. Cut two more pieces for the gift card holder  (measurements: 12 cm x 9 cm ‘pink piece’ and 11.5 cm x 8.5 cm to mat.

Fussy cut some elements from the collection to decorate the card and gift card holder.

Die cut a bow, assemble and fasten with a brad. Remember to add it to the hole of the lid of the purse.

Tip: curl two bow strips forming a curve using the back of a pencil or similar object. This makes folding the end pieces together a little easier.

Heat emboss some leaf chipboard embellishments.

Add a chipboard embellishment from the collection at the bottom of the purse underneath the velcro dot as seen below.

Add a sticker from the collection on the lid of the purse before adding a Velcro dot.

Tip: the sticker will cover up the brad from the bow that goes through the hole of the purse.

Adhere the fussy cut elements and chipboard leaves with adhesive foam squares making sure that the gift card can easily slide in and out of the holder.

Adhere all the fussy cut elements, chipboard and stickers to the card with adhesive foam squares to give dimension.

Thanks for stopping by!”
