Paper Santa Boots Filled with Presents

We are thrilled to share with you a fun and fabulous Unique Papercrafting project.  Instead of stuffing a stocking with treats and gifts why not fill a pair of Paper Santa Boots?  Below, Tanya Scrap shows us how to create paper boots, gift boxes, and how to mix and match your Graphic 45 Christmas paper collections, Joy to the World, Christmas Magic & Twelve Days of Christmas.  So grab a mug of hot cocoa and enjoy this festive treat.  

 

 

Paper Santa Boots

“Hello, dear G45ers! 

I am so excited to share with you my Seasonal project this month featuring a combination of three stunning Graphic 45 collections, namely Joy to the World, Christmas Magic and Twelve Days of Christmas Deluxe Collector's Edition. I love how you can mix and match Graphic 45 collections, all the colours blend so well together! 

 

I have created my love for off the page, a pair of Santa Boots filled with lots of cute little presents and candy cane boxes. I made this project with my Silhouette using a few different cut files (listed below) and cutting dies.

 

Herewith the Supplies and Instructions you may use to recreate such a project:

Joy to the World 12×12 Patterns and Solids Paper Pad

Twelve Days of Christmas Deluxe Collector's Edition 

Antique Brass Metal Door Plates and Knobs

Leaf and Box Cutting Dies

Ribbon

Yellow Marabou Fur

Sellotape

Red Double Sided Tape

Black Cardstock

Brads

Small Bows

 

 

 

Cut a Santa boot (cut two) from the Joy to the World collection pattern sheets and black cardstock. Adhere the tabs with red double sided tape and assemble accordingly.

 

 

Prepare the cuff section and tufting squares. Adhere these squares to the cuff section with brads.

 

 

Cut a Santa suit bow (cut two) from the Joy to the World collection pattern sheets and black cardstock. Assemble accordingly.

 

 

 

Cut a candy cane box (cut two) from the Twelve Days of Christmas DCE pattern sheets. Adhere the tabs with red double sided tape and assemble accordingly.

 

 

Cut a few 'presents' from the three different collections mentioned in the supply list. Adhere red double-sided tape to the tabs and assemble accordingly. No need to add tape to the no glue box.

 

Tip: Add some washi tape to the little boxes to keep them closed. It is also lovely to use for extra decoration.

 

 

Fussy-cut some elements from the Christmas Magic collection.

 

Die-cut a few leaves from the Joy to the World collection patterns sheets. Place four leaves next to each other and stick them with sellotape.

 

Tip: This is the easiest way for me to keep them together. Do not be worried about it being untidy. These will be tucked away behind the 'presents' so you won't see it.

 

 

Add some marabou fur around the boots below the cuff section.

 

 

Add a door knob embellishment to the center of each bow.

 

Add the small bows to some of the 'presents'.

 

 

Add a chipboard sentiment embellishment.

 

 
Add the little fussy-cut elements to the boots, tuck some in behind the 'presents'.

 

Add some ribbon to the candy cane boxes.

 

 

Add black ribbon to the sole of the Santa boot.

 

 

Tuck the die-cut leaves in behind the 'presents' and the cuff section.
