Spotlight: Lena Astafeva – French Country Windmill Tutorial

Hello, G45ers!

It is another glorious day of Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador announcements, this time featuring the Lena Astafeva. Lena makes amazing albums, beautiful altered art projects, and today shares  a little bit about herself with us, as well as a creative windmill featuring French Country – DCE. She also provides a SnapGudie tutorial along with a YouTube tour with this project so creating it at home will be a breeze. We are so happy to have her with us for another year and excited to share this project with you all today.

“I’m Lena. I’m from Russia, Nizhniy Novgorod.  I’m 31 y.o., I’m a happy wife and mother of three children. I have an 11-year-old son, a 5-year-old daughter, and a 4 month old baby boy. My main hobbies are scrapbooking and painting. I love books, I study history and languages.

Fun Facts:

Best of all I love making altered art and albums, especially out of Graphic 45 paper.

When I create my works I always listen to music or watch a movie, in order to get inspiration for my creation.

I like to cut out pictures for my projects sitting on the floor. I feel more comfortable and there is a lot of space. Paper collections which I need are all over the floor.

My first collection was Once Upon a Springtime. It felt a pity to use it. It seemed to me then, that it was a pleasure to look at, such an amazing collection and I couldn’t cut it, as I thought it was cruel. But once I decided to do it, I couldn’t stop doing it!!!

My plans for the year:

  • Make layouts.

  • Continue to make tutorials with Graphic 45 stamps.

  • Create more altered art.

So I’ve prepared tutorial of a windmill. I'm glad to be a Brand Ambassador!! Thanks, Graphic 45.

I’ve made a windmill, and it has secret compartments. You can keep or hide things in it. I want to tell how to make it.” ~Lena Astafeva
