Make a Splash Altered Seashell

Hello dear G45ers!

I am happy to share my project this month. I altered a plastic seashell featuring some Graphic 45 ink pads and the STUNNING Make a Splash collection. 

Herewith the supplies and step-by-step instructions you may use to recreate such a project:

G45 Supplies used:

Make a Splash Collection

Lovely Lilac Ink Pad

French Lilac and Purple Royalty Trim

Other Supplies used:

Clear Gesso

White Paint 

Soft Matte Gel 

Sequins 

Eyelet and Jump Ring

Chipboard and Mermaid Tail Embellishments

Altered Seashell Walkthrough by Tanya Scrap

Instructions:

1. Prep the plastic seashell with clear gesso, leave to dry. Then add two coats of white paint and leave to dry again. 

2. Layer some fussy cut elements and assortment die cuts from the collection for decoration. 

3. Add some watercolor to the seashell using Graphic 45 ink pads and water. 

4. Adhere the layered piece to the seashell and add the chipboard embellishments and mermaid tail. 

5. Add a piece of ribbon through the hole of the seashell and make a bow. 

6. Add an eyelet to the hole of the tag and a jump ring and add to the bow. 

7. Adorn the sea shell with some sequins using a soft matt gel.
